Hello everyone! Great info on this forum.

I am looking at getting a new GX and after reading/researching I feel that the KDSS is a must for us, we live in the California foothills and have a lot of winding roads.

As you all know the KDSS is pretty rare on the west coast. Since the 07's are out we have been looking at both the '06 and '07's. It looks like the first batch of 07's from the factory do not have KDSS nationwide! Is this true? The dealer said they do not know when the 07's with KDSS will be coming out. Anyone have any info on this?

I think we will probably go with an '06 with KDSS we found which is fully loaded of course (only way you find them out here). One nice thing about it is that it has the black wood trim but with the beige interior, I think it looks nicer than the black on black interior. We are probably going to get it for about $1000 over invoice which isn't great since the 07's are already out but believe it or not it is the only KDSS equipped GX in like a 200 mile radius.

The 07's in the western region will not have the sport pkg or KDSS as of about a week ago. Unless they change the current configurations

Basically, you got the sports package which includes the kdss.
That is a must for the winding roads.
What I like even more is the blackwood.

I remember back in Jan 05 when we wanted one with kdss, the dealer told us a 3 month wait. We were a little impatient and got one without the kdss.

You might have to order it from your dealer and wait.

 

I ended up getting the 2006 with the sports package. We didn't want to wait for 3+ months for the 2007. It sounded like it could even be longer. We are very happy with it so far.
