I think Tipler has the best premium on this forum! $381.06 for your GX annually is amazing. Do you have a combined single limit for your insurance or is it a split limit of $500/500 on each coverage? WI must be a very inexpensive state for auto insurance.
Does anyone else have a premium that is close to this?

WOW! some of you are doing exceptionally well in insurance cost savings. I do not have all the numbers in front of me but it is something like-

Insured with AMEX
in CA Bay Area
03'GX, and 98'ES with 2 drivers
both of us have a clean driving record.
250k/500k
250k uninsured
$250 comprehensive deductible
$500 collision deductible
etc.
~$1550 annually

Lexite - is your insurance carrier actually Amex? Or is it just your agency? I didn't think that Amex actually had Property and Casualty insurance. You have really great rates for two cars in the Bay Area. And I thought CA was alot more expensive than AZ.

I believe you can get insurance through AMEX, but you have to get it through a place like Costco.

I can't believe some of the premiums some of you are paying. If it's not too much to ask, can you put down your age as well. Typically you get your best premiums when you are in your 40's. And be sure to break down your premium for the GX, since this is the vehicle most of us who view this thread own.

Now that you mention it, I do recall seeing that as a benefit in my Costco membership brochure. Problem is, I'm afraid to call for new quotes b/c I recently got a ticket (photo radar) and my wife just got one 1 month ago. My rates don't take into account these tickets so I'm sure if I called another carrier, the rates would be very high.

As for age, I'm 31. We have 2 cars and 1 home insured with same carrier and our rates are supposedly the rates for the "best" drivers.

Yeah chances are your current carrier does not know, or will never know about your recent activity on your records. Companies always pull your MVR (tickets) and CLUE report (accidents and comp. claims) before issuing a policy. Although, I have written many policies when someone has been with a company for a while and they didn't know about a ticket or two. Even though my companies pulled them up, they still came out less expensive. That's why there are hundred's of insurance companies out there; they all have their own rates, and there will almost always be another company out there that will have a better rate for a particular risk (insured).
