Your right I just learned this yesterday. Talked to a big wholesaler that buys quanities of them for customers and he can't get anymore. They quit building like you said and are now working toward the new ones for 2008 models. This will either help the value of the now old body style or hurt it? I don't think we will know until we see what Toyota/Lexus comes up with for the new LC/LX model.

in my experience, when the brand new model comes out there will always be customers who dont care for the change and will want to buy on of the last models of the last year. just happened with the ls460, i had customers looking for 2006 ls430s cause they werent fond of the new ls460. the launch of the new lx570 will probably hurt values initially because of the influx of lx470 trades in the market, but it will stabilize shortly thereafter.

I used the Costco Auto Buying program to purchase my GX. I checked the dealer prices with Consumer Reports, subtracted the hold back and added $300. I actually got a better deal because the dealer I bought mine through had a dealer demo with all the options I wanted and the color I wanted. It had 3000 miles on it so I was able to buy it for about $3000 under invoice which was about $9000 under sticker.
GX sales were slow this fall - about 15%-20% below last year because of gas prices - so the dealers may have been more flexible on clearing out the 2006 GX's which is what I bought.
My dealer was pretty upfront when I offered a way under invoice price. I would definitely recommend buying a dealer demo if you can find one you like. It comes licensed as a new car (it has never been licensed before) and the warranty remains as a new car warranty.

Where in Texas did you buy from? What dealer? I am about to go negotiate a deal this weekend. Did you lease? If so, what were the terms?

Well, I just signed the papers on a 07 with all options but the rear intertainment from Park Place in Plano. Figured I would do aftermarket in the headrests. I leased mine and paid $49000. They also gave me a deal on the dent insurance package for $275 for the 3 year lease. They also are tinting the windows for free. I will be picking it up on Monday and will post some pics.

Well, this is going to be my wifes car and she is not as crazy about modding as I am
. The first thing will be some new wheels. But I am not sure which way to go on that. I will have to do some searching here on the GX forum for some ideas
. The second mod will be the rear intertainment system. The factory system cost $1650 so I figured I could do something better aftermarket for less. I will try and integrate Sirius radio into the system. I may also do a chrome exhaust tip and that will be about it for the GX.

If you find out anything regarding Sirius, please let us know. I have tried a few avenues such as VAIS, and Soundgate but they all say with the new Gen 5 navi and the additional channels in the amp, there is not kit as of yet.
Enjoy the new ride!

I have to say that I am more than satisfied with the factory entertainment system. The 7.1 surround is awesome and I am not sure if can get that using after market equipment and then integrated into the navi console like mine is. I could be very wrong....
