We pretty much turned down all the extras, but I might consider extended warentee at some point before the factory one runs out.

I wasn't offered any *ding* insurance....hmmm. I probably would have taken it. The shopping mall parking spaces could not be any smaller if they tried.

Just picked up an 07 GX470, loaded with Nav, Mark Levinson, 3rd row, towing prep with hitch and receiver, rear seat entertainment, spoiler, Lexus Link, wheel locks, and Preferred Accessory Package. Sticker was $56,444, we paid $51,000, all taxes paid with the December to Remember sale, which is as low as I could negotiate any dealer within 500 miles of us!! There were very few to chose from and some dealers wouldn't budge on the price. One dealership in Houston said they had moved over 48 GXs within the last two weeks! All said and done, I love the car and we are both really excited to be back in a Lexus from the 02 Mercedes ML320. We got our the color we really wanted, Silver and Dark Gray leather, also very hard to find after everyone's inventory has been picked over. The GX only had 9 miles on it, which we were also really happy about. We went straight over to the local high end stereo shop and had XM installed, the Valentine 1 hardwired in, and had the DVD override done so that movies can be viewed while driving up front.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and tell everyone I am back from the "darkside" (Benz Ownership)

I paid a stereo shop here to do it, they cut the emergency brake wire and speed sensor from the back of the radio, then ground the wire coming from the radio to the chasis as it was explained to me. Not really sure, but it now works great!!

OK, I received my new 2007 GX-470 two weeks ago which I purchased from fleetrates.com and saved over 6K, I highly recommend this route as my local dealer would not budge on price until I showed them the fleetrate price, then they were willing to negotiate to keep my business, they came close, but DJ at Fleetrates worked so hard for me that I gave him the deal. They faxed over the complete cost, both deaer invoice and list and Jim Falk Lexus of Beverly Hills, CA was the final dealer I dealt with. I ended up paying $ 46,975 for a vehicle that listed at $ 53,536, plus I paid shipping to NM of $ 695.00, this was a little high. The whole deal was very easy, and the $ savings was huge. DJ also told me where to find the best financing and it took me 5 minutes using the internet at a rate of 6.25 % through Capital One.

Good info. Sounds like you got a hell of a good deal. How or would they be able to handle a trade-in?

I sold a 2003 350Z to Carmax, they were better then any dealer and much safer then trying to sell to an individual.
