Default Exhaust Tip PICS?

Looking to get some ideas on a nice exhaust tip replacment.
Still contemplating running dual exhaust or a larger oval shaped tip.
Anyone care to share their pics?
thanks

PP, I haven't seen any one here posted either dual or larger exhaust tips.

However, I did see a current gen 4runner with dual oem exhausts, one on each side. Looks more balanced...I've contemplated on doing it also.

Thanks, I agree, the dual setup would look balanced. I need to craw under tomorrow and see where I can route another pipe to the other side. The hitch is in the way out back so that area is out of the question.
thanks

I don't think its the trailer hitch that is in the way, well maybe the trailer wiring connector, but the components for the rear air suspension. I don't think the 4Runner has the same setup under there so that vehicle probably has the clearance needed for another tail pipe.

It's the that connects to the frame that is in the way preventing the pipe to crossover right in front of the spare tire. Plus the small tow hook is in the way of the exhaust tip for the left side which I just checked. I will gander at it some more when I have it jacked up to check for header clearance.

After checking some more, another pipe can easily run under the rear sway bar in between the spare tire and differential and then over to the left side to come out. I would have to install a heat shield for both the spare and differential but very doable. Perhaps next week when I find some nice tips and finalize which muffler is going to replace this monster overweight dinosaur under there now.

Nice. Keep us updated

Will there be any negative consequence for running the long pipings for the left exhaust?

I don't remember an introduction from you on your new GX

I do not see any negatives at this time. Doubtful of any power increase or decrease. One muffler shop recommended just installing a fake tip back there as often does happen but I am the type of guy that would rather get it done right.
At this time I am looking at quad tips (two of each side) or just a dual tip setup.
I am normally in the SC430 forum but decided to mod the GX a little to give it a more sporting nature.

Thanks. Looks good.
I ordered up the exhaust components today after finding some tips to match my taste. I looked at the 4Runner kits out there from TRD and Magnaflow but decided to just put together my own as fitment was a concern and the Magnaflow cat back system has a bothersome drone that many have complained about.
Went with 2 qty 4.5"x3.5" oval exhaust tips and a Magnaflow 14586 muffler as many on the 4runner/Tundra forums have run with success. Pipes are going straight out the back vs the side as pictured. My exhaust guy had the GX on the lift today to check out the pipe routing. No problems.
Will post next week when everything should be on along with some other mods.

I like it; looks good! I believe the tips I am receiving are a tad larger than those.
