Default Cup Holder -- too shallow - any mods?

I find that the cup holder is far too shallow and doesn't hold the cups in there tightly enough. Another 2 or 3 inches would help secure it better.

Has anyone made any modifications to the cupholder? Or, is there an aftermarket cupholder I can purchase that has worked?

Thanks.

well... I've never had anything tip over regardless of how many times you feel like it's going to. Sometimes though I do need to snug up the swing out arm on skinnier bottles held in there... like beer bottles (j/k)

That being said, I bought some of these for another car I had that came w/o cupholders (zose damn Germans ). Anyhow, their newer cars come w/ cupholders so I permanently moved these into the GX. They're adjustable, tuck under the center console and do such a wonderful job w/ water-bottles, etc. I pretty much use them exclusively except for hot drinks in paper cups. Close at hand and NOTHING ever tips over in them...

Pricey for what they are but nicely made.

Thanks for the help! This is the number one gripe on the GX for me because of kids (toddlers). The car seats in the back eliminate the use of rear seat cupholders and the 1 extra in the center console is useless when that is the only place to store anything. Juice cups get tipsy in the front holders.

Looks like we could have a place for our cups as well for a change.

Can you tell us which model cup holder works for the Lexus GX470. I have emailed the owner of the company, but he was unsure which one you purchased.
