ok i have an 04 gx470 with the MLS sound system and navi.
i wanted to pull out the tape player and put in an Pionner 7''inch flip out and still be able to
1. still have the navi work
2. and can it be done ?
please if any one thinks iit can be done please let me know or is it a dead issue.

Yes it's possible, but it'll probably consist of hacking up ur oem wiring
and quite a bit of headache til it works right... if you're adding the Pioneer to watch movies, a navi hack would be better.

yea i was thinking that but i would like to have my pionner in its place to watch movies on and have my ipod work off it to becuase i have the ipod adapter from pionner and i would like to have the navi work as a navi and also i like the pionner have the ipod display on the screen i looked at everything from the dvd hack to the ipod to display on the navi but its not worth it for me. if i can have it all work out of one unit that i have already then buying everything new and still have my pionner laying around if thats the case then i'll putthe pionner in my jeep grand cherokee that i use for offroading and hualing junk around

 

but i would like to have it in the gx more then the jeep cherokee
