Good info. Hopefully Toyota has fixed the "optimism." My LS430 computer is dead on accurate like your GX, but there was another GX mileage thread here a few months ago and IIRC pretty much everyone who had done the calculation found their computers to be optimistic. BUT, I don't think there were any '07 GXs in that group. Anyway, I guess the conclusion is, Don't assume that the computer is accurate -- it might be or it might not be, with the "might not be" the most likely scenario based upon overall historic input in this forum.

I just filled up my first tank $60 - 93 Octane.

I calculated almost 17MPG this is 1/2 local and 1/2 highway. I do very lightly on the throttle except doing down hill to maximize gravity. I also coast where I can to stop lights in case it changes green before I get there.

I'm getting 16 on my LX470 and it is a lot heavier. I would think you guys would get 18-19 average.

Really depends on how you drive the vehicle. R U you doing mostly highway?

The 1/2 highway is more of like a 1/4 of highway since in the AM I'm in traffic on the highway and in the PM there's typically little traffic.

Default Gas mileage 06/07 GX's

I have 03GX about 59K on it. I get 17mpg calculated on mix 40/60 Highway/City driving. I read some postings on Aero Exhaust website that tweaking the exhaust system (muffler, resonators) can increase performance and mileage up to 1-2 mpg. Anyone has these on theirs out there?

Your right to many variables to compare.
