Before anyone brakes out the flame thrower remember "to each his own".

But to answer your question I am pretty sure that no one on this board has lowerd their GX. I would think that it would be very expensive to do this. First you would have to get rid of the rear air suspension and replace it with a standard 4runner coil type system. Then you can buy the Eibach lowering kit, but that will only drop it about 1.5 in. With 24's you may only need a small drop to get rid of the wheel gap (if that's what you are trying to accomplish).

Good luck...and take some pics if you do this.

To lower a GX is almost like lifting a IS350, but like cmarshack said, to each his own.

There was one GX owner I met at a car show who mentioned a set up he did on another GX which was modifying the Air Suspension system. He said he actually replaced the the shocks with those bagged shocks and using the onboard compressor as part of the system. Install a aftermarket the control system to work on demand or in automatic mode. He said the problem is that the OE system is a diagonal setup, whatever that mean. Which they had to trace and tear out the lines, very difficult according to him. Well of course this is the first time I heard of such and he didn't have anything to back it up ie, pictures. But the way he explained it seem doable. They didn't want to slam the truck but wanted to be able to have a 4 way setup and manual control. And he said the suspenion had a 10" travel, play 5" in each way. I had his email but misplaced it. I haven't seen him since. but I am sure it can be done. Good Luck. Oh again, this is heresay so I can't confirm what I have been told. I'll try to do some research.

On that same note you may want to check with Purplehaze...he was looking into tricking the rear hight sensors-he wanted a lift, not a slam, but it would probably be the same set-up.
