External System Not Connected
My cd player stopped working. When I click on my DISC button I get this External System Not Connected message. My dealer tells me that is could possibly be because I had an after market DVD player and XM unit added to my car. Does anyone know why this error would appear. - the dealer said they tried replacing the CD changer unit and the AMP and it didnt help. Now I dont know if they are just trying to make money off of me because they want to charge me $350 to "further investigate the issue". The people who put in my DVD and XM couldnt figure it out either. HELP

Issue Solved
I found out that the rear middle console (for the door lights) was causing the issue. It has a component in it that closes the circle for the audio system. My DVD installer replaced the whole console with the DVD player and thats whats caused the ERROR for the CD Changer. He had to take the console apart, he then took the inside component out of the light fixture and placed between the DVD player and the celling. Now everything is working.
