I usually have the music on or the DVD playing everytime I drive. Well, lately Ive been keeping all sound off and I noticed that everytime I press the gas, there is a tone sound, like a hum, that I can clearly hear. Especially on the highway... I am a gas saver so I dont keep my foot constantly on the gas. Naturally, when I see a hill coming I press the gas, and the sound comes back.
Anyone else experience this? Is this normal? If you haven't, could ya give it a try? Just turn all sound off and listen when you press the gas.

Sounds like the front differential is humming. It happens in my 04 GX (which has 35k miles) over 70 MPH, and in my Matrix at 2800 RPM's. It's most likely a product of the all wheel drive system and more often than not it's normal.
If you want, have the dealer or a repair shop service both differntials, or pumpkins. If they find any metal fragments, then worry.
