Great job

Like all of the pictures have been posted, the stock spoiler looks exactly the same.
The only difference is the cover over rear brake light, now that there's one on the spoiler.

i also got mine from ebay for $140. He's a spoiler seller from the midwest. pretty cool guy, had some small scratches from the shipping with the spoiler moving inside the box. I told him about it and he told me to order the touch up paint from lexus and he'll reimburse me and sure enough, he send me a refund for the price of the touch up paint.

if only i can remember his id on ebay!

How long ago did you buy the spoiler? If it was within the past 3 months and if he gave you feedback then you can review all of your feedback and he should be listed somewhere on there.

I haven't done my truck yet. I'm still deciding on it. From the rear with the spoiler it makes the top look more narrow but from the side view with the spoiler it looks mroe aggressive. Trade off I guess.

Actually kphu , that is why I have not got one yet my self, or cared if it had one when I got my GX470. Whenever I saw a GX driving in front of me it just looked a lot narrower. Side profile view was better, but I really did not care for how narrow it made it look.

I agree...it looks tall with or without the spoiler.

OT,Sorry...
I think that the bulges in the Prado lights give it more of a "midsection" and make the truck look less tall. The OEM lights flow right up the side as you look from the rear and nothing breaks the lines, which creates the "height" issue.

Now that I see the tailgates back to back, you are right, the prado lights does break up the vertical lines.

BLKGX470, i take it you have installed yours. How was the install? do you still have install instructions, can you post it here. I'd like to browse it and see if I can do it myself base on the install instructions. Thanks.

Does anyone has the install instruction. I like to see myself how difficult it is to install before ordering it from ebay.

http://www.lexus-parts.com/GX_spoiler.pdf

here install instruction from sewell lexus for the OE. i got mine from ebay and installing it over the weekend. the aftermarket has inconsistent install instruction and install parts. you have to be handy enough to figure it out. i guess you get what you pay for... got it for $150 painted.

I like the dual exhaust you have set up. It looks more balanced for the V8 it has. Not a fan of the Prado lights though. I think the stock lights are more in tune with the design. Nice job on the spoiler too. Did you say it was DIY or dealership? If it was DIY, how long did it take you to install?

Default you can DIY

here's install instruction from ebay spoiler (ebay vendor:the spoiler store). however the install kit came with substitute parts that require you to figure out how you can install spoiler with them. I argued with the vendor with my notes on the install pages however he said that the ones I got are it and I just have to figure it out and figure out I did. I just installed mine and it looks great. it took about 2HRS as I was taking my time making sure I was doing it right and plus having to figure out how to do it with the install kit I have and doing some creative stuff like spray painting black (since my GX is black) the overhead brakelight (I got this idea from the thread here).
I am very happy I DIY it. saved me over $400 over dealer installed and my GX looks cooler You can do it too I am sure.

Thanks for the compliment on the exhaust.

As for the spoiler, yes it was a DIY. It took about 45 mins and would be a lot easier if I had another set of hands to help...get a helper. But other than that it was very easy.

Good luck!
