Default Glovebox door

When I first got my '06 GX 470, everything was quiet and perfect inside the cabin. A few months later, I noticed a distinct rattle coming from the passenger side during normal driving. I recently identified the source of the rattle as the glovebox door. Even when I completely empty the glovebox, the door has just enough slack when closed that it rattles with the vehicle's normal running vibration. Does anyone know if there are any adjustments I can make to eliminate the rattle? It is really annoying to have this issue in a luxury vehicle. Thanks for any help.

I would either put some sticky foam pads on the inside of the door or let the dealer replace the glove box.

no real adjustments to it, but are the rubber stops on either side missing? Maybe it got miss-seated on last cabin filter change? Is the retention cord on the left side still connected and pulling it up for closing? Check your owners manual for how to change cabin filter (requires pulling down glove box) and make sure the bottom legs (act as the hinge) and tension cord on the left are properly seated. Otherwise, take it to the dealer and have them fix as you should still be under warranty.

I had the same problem and my dealer put some black felt where the rubber stoppers meet the dash. It fixed the problem!
