I'm planning to purchase a new 08 GX and found one that I like (mostly) with the new exterior Desert Sage color. I didn't really like the color that much since it's too funky and not really a strong color for SUVs. Don't know if I would end up buying it due to a good deal on the car, so I just want to see how others feel or react to this new color.

I agree with GMan, I haven't seen one in person yet but the one on the website looks too Kermit the Froggish for my taste. The older darker green (Cypress?) color looks infinitely better IMO..

Cypress green was a awesome color, but until I see a Desert Sage in person, I will reserve my comments.

I agree the last year (2007) Cypress Green color looks much better, but I don't know where to find one to buy. They are kind of rare in Orlando here.

I saw one on my way home last night at the dealer so I had to stop and snap a picture. Looks slightly better in person then on the Lexus website. While I was there I snapped a pic of mine too - funny thing is my gold looks kind of green with my crappy camera phone

I have a low mileage 2008 GX 470 and I think you'd agree it looks GREAT. I looked up "Sage Green GX470" it brought me to this thread that's 16yrs old!

I wanted Cypress Pearl/Sage Green/Desert Sage, but I could not find one near me unfortunately. They're the best colors on this vehicle for me...but I am a bit biased given I had a Cypress Pearl GS300 lol.

I think it's one of those colors that looks cool and turns heads because it's different. If shades of green were as common as every shade of gray, we'd be drooling over silver and gray. So green gets a thumbs up for me.
