I can imagine if it is anything like the one on I used to have on my RX300, it will have some indented or depressed areas that will need to be filled in and painted over.
I know of many people who put the spoiler on, never anyone who wants to take it off. To me, the GX just doesnt right without the spoiler, but to each his own.
I agree that the spoiler will probably grow on you. Keep in mind if you do decide to remove it you will need to reinstall the center brake light on the back of the vehicle (there is a punchout, but I don't know how involved it is).
