Actually it is not a bad idea to use e-mail to send to different dealers and on last days of the month. This is how I got my deal for GX. First I was giving
payments around $750 (it was in 2004) and because I was on the tight budget I almost stop looking for GX. Then on last days of the March, I sent
e-mail to all Lexus dealers in Tri-State area and got several responses where'
dealers even actioned who will give me the lowest deal. I got $550m with
$2500 down which transalated to around $605-610 - much lower than $750.
But now everything is different - the lowest deal I was offered was $790.
And it was from the person who gave perfect deals to all my friends and even 1 year ago gave $605 ($0down) to my close friend. When I asked him how come the price got raised $200 up he replied that Lexus had the "stupid" program at that time and this is not going to happen again.

Not to say I told you so, but............. You should have said I'll take the '08 for the $46,900, but I decided to keep the '05. Trust me THEY WANT THAT '05 really really bad.

And yes, THEY WANT MY '05 really really bad. The Sales guy did an appraisal on my GX on his computer. Several #s came up on his screen(between $34 & $38) and he closed the page really quick and went to the manager office. After 5 mins, he came back and said he and his manager will take 10 mins to look at my GX. After 10 mins, he offer $3k off MSRP. Finally he offered $46,900 and if I willing to turn my GX in by 11/30/07, he was willing to go lower. He never mentioned any amount but he wrote down $46,300 on his work paper. There really nothing wrong with the GX. We fixed the clunk issue. The only problem I have is the brakes (feel a little vibration when pressing the brakes). Told the wife to buy the truck and keep it.

2nd Update!!
Just received an e-mail from my dealer today. They offering me a 2008 GX470 Black/Ivory for $43,400. If anyone is looking to purchase a 2008 GX 470, this is a very good price. I don't think it includes the Nav, not sure. I e-mailed my sales guy regarding the options on this truck.
