just installed mine !!! wohoo !! turned out it's pretty easy DIY installation
i haven't drive to fwy yet, but been driving locally like maniac. i push the gas pedal way too often just to hear the grroooowwwllll. anyway, i <3 it.
i don't care about saving mpg, if having V8 SUV & worry about how to save mpg w/ intake then shouldn't buy it at first place.
thanks to PearlPower for the information about this intake & K&N for sending me a mass flow gasket part for free

I have mine but have yet to install it yet. I got the K&N 63-9022 Air Charger model and I know it's not CARB exempt but why care until I have to get smogged again.
Maybe when I get some time this weekend!
I read that some of you guys mentioning about it messing with the mass air sensor, what can I do to prevent problems with this?

Finally got it installed tonight! I have to say that it growls like a ***** and sounds mean!
I don't know if you guys have the same issue, but I noticed a burning rubber smell after driving it and also some smell of gas (maybe that's why it's not CARB exempt?).
Everything is connected pretty snug and all the hoses and clamps are in place as well.
I never noticed this with past cars I've installed aftermarket intakes in.

The smell went away, I think it was just the smell from the new rubber hoses heating up but it went away the next morning.
I just installed the Gibson exhaust system for my ride, since people on the 4Runner forums say it's not as loud as the Magnaflow: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CCDN4Q
The car sounds quite beastly now with the K&N & Gibson exhaust combined together with my iron foot, I will post up a video very soon. =)
