2003 with 50,000 miles and going. I bought the GX used though so I don't know if it was ever replaced. What does an OEM LEXUS Battery look like? Does it have a Lexus Logo on it or something? So i can check later when I get home. I have to make sure, my wife drives it and picks up the little one everyday. I don't want her to get stranded somewhere.

Was actually going to go to Sears and have them test it if it is still good.

 

The original battery that comes in the GX470 is made by Panasonic and it says so on the side of the battery case.

 

took the car in for oil change..the idiot service guy must have cranked the car and thought battery is dying- -changed the perfectly working 'Made in Japan' OEM battery with a POS drab looking 'Made in Mexico'.....the battery does not even have one of those blue or red indicators ......I asked them why they changed battery and they said it was under warranty so I should not be concerned -- and my battery was 1.5 years old only!!!

 

Has anyone installed a Optima Gel Cell? If so, what was the model number. It's kind of cold to go out an measure.
