As far as I know, all GX are 4 Wheel drive aren't they? So why does the normal 15k, 45k, etc service require to rotate the tires?
Don't they all rotate at the same time since the GX is a 4 Wheel Drive? So technically, one does not need to pay extra to rotate the tires since there is no use in doing so...am i right?
Please advice!

It is AWD which is different from 4WD but that is another story.
They all turn but sometimes at different rates like front tires when turning inner and outer turn at different speeds etc. You get better more even ware if you rotate them every 5-10k. If you buy them at most local shops they will balance and rotate free for the life of the tire.
ie America's tire etc

the reason for rotating tires is to keep the wear even on them. fronts wear out faster on heavy vehicles due to turning. so by rotating the fronts with the rears, it prolongs tire life, preventing you from having to buy new front tires while the rears are still in good shape. at that point you'll never have a matching set of tires on teh car again.
