Wow, that has to be one of the worst Lexus experience I have ever read.

By the way, the least of your problems - the missing headrest - is shipped inside the rear seat back. It is stored there to pevent it blocking your view in the installed position. From the rear door, unzip the zipper in the back of the seat, and it should be there.

From your other problems, though, you may not have thought of this again. Sorry for your problems. Complain to Lexus!

I agree with the G Man, i've always hated the dealers ever since i owned american cars and switching to lexus changed the sour taste in my mouth to sweetness. BUT, when i don't get the service i expected from 3 SAs in Glendale Lexus, I told the 4th SA that I dealt with and he immediately escorted me to the Service Director and told them that I don't like being left in the dark when my vehicle is in their service. At least have a courtesy call letting me know the update on the vehicle. That's all i asked. There was also a warranty work on my cd changer and the bad SA never called after a week. I actually had to call parts to check if the radio unit is in. Then I had to call and make sure the car is done and ready. So basically I did all the leg work for the SA.

With that being said, the Service Director told me that he will do the 50,000 mile maintenance free of charge which would have cost me around $700 and some change. And i only had 45,000 miles on my GX but I said, what the heck.

I don't know, but the experience seems to be the East Coast thing. From what I read, pretty much everyone on the West Coast is happy with their Lexus experience. It's the East Coast that's a little troubling. And take it from my experience and avoid Lexus of Rockville Centre, unless of course you like to be charged for things you don't need done to your vehicle.

"i have to say im treated like royalty at my lexus dealer"

Me too!
This story is just crazy.
I am sorry to hear a Lexus dealer is operating like that.
My dealer pulls my car up to an inside waiting area, it's
always washed, vacuumed, with chocolates laying on the passenger seat.
Hopefully you can find a better dealer soon.

Bad experiences like this can leave a bad taste in your mouth. I've had plenty over the years but never in the past 6 years with my Lexus dealer... Lexus of Smithtown. Remember that the squeaky wheel gets the oil and don't give up!

Since this guy only posted the one time, could it be he is a troll looking to stir up trouble?

I live in Boston and my Lexus dealer is the best dealer I have ever dealt with.

Cool

Not to minimize what you have gone through, but after 4 years with this forum, I have never heard of anyone going through such a dismal experience.
I have mostly good things to say about my dealership, and lots of praise for the reliability. I arrived to Lexus, after years of Land Rover. I recall those years something to learn from ... not continue.

Your description goes past inconvenient, and enters the realm of cursed ...

Best of luck going forward.

This just doesn't seem right. Especially with a Mercedes Benz name for a login and 1 post.

But just for the heck of it, it could have been sold to someone in 8/07 and for some reason it was returned or taken back. You bought it already a week into october, and within the next 3 weeks its November. Maybe the registration info was not in their system yet therefore they were unsure about the car and perhaps put it aside. Maybe due to miscommunication within the dealer, they used this vehicle for dealer use.

who knows... this just sounds so unreal.

Cool From the look of it ...

From the look of the thread, someone else made the comment that it could have been started by a troll. I believe that is the case here. Some people are just, ... losers. Nothing more to add. They don't have anything better to do.
