Just bought one as well. Installing this weekend!

Why is it that every time I find something new on this Forum, it immediately attacks my wallet...?

It would look perrdy tho
In a way you are right. At the same time, if you want to get technical about CAI (Cold air intake) then you should clearly know that his setup IS NOT CAI. This is all for just the noise not performance. If he was to dyno his truck, I can guarantee you there will be no hp gain. With that in mind, you and I both know if the air filter is under the hood it defeats the purpose of sucking in cold air. We all know a true CAI has the filter far away from the engine with some kind of opening to suck in cold air.

I had an intake in all of my vehicles so far and currently I have what's considered a CAI by Injen in my 97 maxima. Altho it's NOT a true CAI. I only have it for the noise. All of them were silver/chrome polished. GX is the only vehicle that is not modded and I was actually looking for something like this for the GX.

Now going back to what I was saying, polished or not, the loud monstrous sound will be there without any performance hp gain. So why not just make it look pretty? Here's a pic of what i'm talking about. I grabbed this pic off google so it's not my pic.

Now time for video clips... i'm dying to hear how this beast sounds

PS - If i've said something irrelevant to the GX, then please excuse me because i'm still messing around with the GX and still at the learning stage. All my experience come from Nissan's VQ30 and VQ35 engines and mods. Also, your truck really motivates me because I love your tastes in mods.
