Looking good. Nice and clean install. What are your impressions on this thing?

Looks good but those things always make to much intake noise, especially while at full throttle. To me, it doesn't make sense on any Lexus vehicle. But if you like it, that's all that matters. Enjoy.

first of all i am really satisfied with it. when flooring it it gets pretty loud and i really like that. bobsgx i understand ur point about the lexus made for quietness and smoothness but i also like some powerful noise. but overall i am really happy with it.

Nice, welcome to the GX intake club-membership very low at the moment. Curious, if you could track your MPG over time and post as I noticed an unexpected increase with my install. It would be nice if someone else gained similar results.

Nice. I heard bad things about K&N that allow too much dirt into the intake and damage MAF.

Is this true?

Do more research on this, you will see. I also own BMW 540i. In BMW forums, they talk about this a lot. I decided not to use K&N. Yes, it's high flow. But it also allows more dirt to get in. And the spray they recommend to use can damage your MAF and Cat. I would stick with OEM or other brand name.

This has already discussed several times everywhere including on my thread above. IT DOES NOT DAMAGE THE MAF. It is higher flow vs stock but there are plenty of filters that are higher flow than the KNN. Again, post accurately and do not start another one of these threads as it has already been discussed and there will not be any end in sight if everyone starts posting posts/links from other forums. It just continues into an never ending debate with people just posting links everywhere when they themselves have no experience on the subject matter.

I personally love the way it looks. I've never seen the engine compartment without the fancy cover. Thanks for the sneak peek
I always wondered about installing a CAI in our truck. How does it sound? Can you please post a video clip of it? I'd really appreciate it. Also, does this void your warranty or hamper with the warranty?

Although it looks nice, but a polished pipe/tube or maybe a silver color pipe/tube would look better then the regular black pipe/tube. Anyway excellent job.

I might look nice but it would also defeat the purpose. The thick black powdercoat on the CAI tube is designed to deflect heat from the engine and keep the inside of the intake cooler. If you had anything metal (ie: can be polished/chromed) it would get very hot and hence create a Hot Air Intake, defeating the purpose.

It would look perrdy tho
