Default cabin noise

I've never had a problem with excessive cabin noise, I've been amazed actually how quiet my GX actually sounds. Half way through a long 9 hour drive in heavy rain, I began hearing a outside noise which is very deceiving to pinpoint location. I even stopped during the drive to visually inspect the undercarriage (if i was dragging something). The ride is excellent, just a sound like wind is blowing heavily into the side of the vehicle, almost like near the wheel wells or door jams.It begins as I speed up and it is intermittent. Is it possible that some sort of cabin pressure seal has been loosened? Would a air suspension problem make this noise? Has anyone ever had this problem.

yes, it sounds like that but when I roll the windows down to hear anything outside, I can't hear the noise. Its deceiving like I said where it is coming from. Thanks for responding.

It does, but its very deceiving. I know that there are some times when the rubber molding around the top of each front door needs to be pushed back down into the grooves. This has gone on for awhile they seem to come out of there seating. Along the borders of the sunroof are also losing their snug fitting. This is only why I was wondering about sealing (especially with the heavy rain I was driving through. The quiet cabin noise must be attained through tight sealing from the exterior, right?

Check the moon roof, I seem to recall a thread from a few years back about this...

When you're driving and the sound begins, open the moon roof and close it and see if it makes any difference? (I'm assuming of course that you have one...)

I just moved my roof rack bars. The one in the rear all the way back, and the one in the front all the way forward. That seemed to eliminate some of it.
