Just curious, the GEN 5 version of the software on the GX470 had a loophole that allowed for an "override" so that the front passenger can still use the and enter the street and address info while the vehicle is moving, can someone with the new 2008 GX test to see if this loophole is still available?

Thanks for the reply, but I do this now already with my 05' GX. I was wondering if this still works with with the 08' GX and the new revision NAV system...? Have you tried it already with the 08' GX?

The tech bypass for gen 5 nav is still a well kept secert. Lexus is determine to drive us crazy

I think it is more tied to the NAV disk - version 6.1 and 7.1 remove the function from the older systems also , 07+ comes with 6.1 or 7.1 DVD's, so it looks like they either changed the function or completely removed it from the software and do it through the diagnostics computers or something.
