There was a posting about 6 months ago and there seemed to be some real interest in this part. It looks like someone finally came out with it for our truck. They do have plenty of color choices for us too.

If there is interest, let me know and I will reach out to the company. FYI - this is the same company that sells the Ashanti Grills.

It is for all 4 doors - Lexus sells them for a few of their other vehicles for $409.00. Just nothing for the GX yet. By the way, they will say "GX 470" and come with very detailed instructions!

for those of us not mechanically inclined...how does this work?
does it attach to the running board?
do you have to drill out a place for it ?
how is it attached?
will it look like it's from the factory or be an obvious "added on"
i had a loaner RX once and the Lexus logo lit up on the running board...it looked cool

OK, so yes, Lexus now makes them for the GS, RX and IS (I believe). As for the installation, it doesn't seem too bad and will not look like an add on - it will look like it belongs. The wiring will go underneath the plate and up into the door. It will look just like the one on the Lexus site that they sell.
I talked to my stereo shop guy and he thinks it is about an hour for all four doors, which is $80.00, but I'm pretty sure I can do this.
