well it's official, over the holiday I took the GX out on the Bonnieville salt flats and pegged her at 118mph.

Is that electronically limited, or did it just run out of guts?

It's electronically limited as it will roll right up to that speed with ease but it won't go anymore. I bet without restrictions it would do 125-130

That is a nice pic, mine tops out at 115-116. Within the tolerance I suppose.

I know that my GX use to get a bit shaky after 95 MPH or so.

My 03 V8 4Runner pulled hard up to 125mph but I never got to go much past 125 because of traffic up ahead, usually did it once a year when I drove between NY and Georgia, but I also did it with Yokohama AVS Summer Tires rated for 149mph, and considering that I drove during the summer months and the air temp mixed with the road temp was just so incredible hot, I touched a tire once and almost burnt myself, I could not believe the tire was that hot, but I got back in the truck and drove another 500 miles knowing I was not on OEM cheap rubber rated at 112mph
