Default GX470 Breaks

I just took my 2004 GX470 in for my 80K check up (oil change, tire rotation, etc). I just received a call from the dealership that I need a brake job on the rear of my vehicle. I purchased my GX470 Oct. 07 with about 72K miles. I am now at 84K. They want to replace the pads and resurface the roaters due to wear and tear. This seems a bit too soon. The brakes were just done when I purchased the car in Oct. 07. Any thoughts?

Either the rear brakes wasnt done when you bought the truck or you have a sticky brake. Get a 2nd opinion, it doesnt hurt.

'brakes' That's way too soon to change the pads if they were just replaced.. Are you sure they even replaced it the first time? Get a 2nd opinion like g-man said.

Thank you for the responses. I thought something did not sound right. Oh and sorry for my error in spelling.

In regards to a sticking break... I notice an auto-break when going down a hill. Is this just a feature or could this be a sticking break? Largest vehicle I have ever owned so this is new to me.

No, thats just the transmission downshifting down hill. My guess is that when you bought it, only the front brakes were new.
