Default 90K Service

I will be due for my 90K service within the next year. I am being told it will cost about $1800. Any advice on this? I plan to drive this car until it dies. I love it.

Holy cow! That's seems excessive. Was that a dealer svc shop quote?

I'm only at 52K now and sweating out the 60K svc (approx $800-$900).

every time my mom took it to the dealer she paid more than that.

they charged her $120 labor to change like 2 bulbs. i was pretty irrate about that.

i would ask them to itemize exactly what that entails.

Does anyone know of a reputable Lexus repair/service provider in Austin,TX? I have been using the dealership.. I know...I know they are more expensive. I like the free loaner car. Thanks.

I don't know of a place in Austin, but if you are ever in the Dallas area you can take your GX to JP Importz. He provides excellent service and great prices. He services my GS400, GS300 and GX470. Great shop, may be worthwhile to check him out.

shouldn't cost more than $600 or so......the issue is that lexus builds such a solid vehicle, that they have to rape you on service in order to make $$$$ because you will be able to put 300k miles on without serious issues. I put almost 100k miles on my '04 and NEVER did any of the expensive services. Just took it to the local shop for recommended maintanance, I probably spent no more than $1200 over the life of the car.............
