Does (or did) Lexus offer a 18" wheel for the GX that I don't know about?

Default Does (or did) Lexus offer a 18" wheel for the GX that I don't know about?

On TireRack's website, when I search for tires for the GX, they list two OEM wheel tire sizes: the 265/65/17, and a 275/60/18.

Did (or does) Lexus offer an 18" wheel package that I don;t know about?

Thanks,
Bob

Not to my knowledge. The only other wheel I've seen offered by Lexus for the GX was a six spoke wheel but it was also 17" and used the same size tires as the stock wheels.

IIRC, 275/60-18 was the size that came on the '03+ LX470 - so maybe TireRack got confused.

That's probably what the story is Greg - Thanks. BTW - What size/brand tire are you running now on your 4runner wheels? They are high on my list now given the good compatibility and price.

I have Bridgestone Duelers - I think they are the "HT" type - in size 265/65-18 (which is slightly taller than the 265/60-18 that the 4Runner comes with stock). They were already on the wheels when I bought them and were practically brand new so I haven't changed them out yet. Other then not having much off-road traction I don't have any complaints about them. If I ever change tires I would probably get the BFG AT/KO's in the same size, but I think they are twice the price of the Duelers.

Greg - Does that size/aspect ratio on the 18" give you any more "tread width" than what is on the stock 17" wheel?

No, the tread width is still the same as the stock 17 inchers at 265. Cap posted the chart below in my wheel pic thread with a good comparison of this stuff:
