Well the inevitable happened and I got in an accident with the GX. I was traveling through an intersection that had the light out when a guy driving on a suspended license with no insurance, failed to stop and we collided. He tried to bail from the scene of accident but I chased him down three blocks where I eventually pinned him in between the curb and a semi truck. Here’s the carnage

Bad boys bad boys, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when GX man comes for you?

Sorry, couldn't resist. I'm glad you caught the scum bag - very brave on your part. I'm thinking I would have just let the guy run for fear he'd cap me.

That really sucks about the damage Looks like he basically ripped off your front bumper. On the bright side it sounds like you're okay which is the most important thing. Looks like if that old Ford truck had hit you just a fraction of a second later it could have been much worse, something that would have put your side and curtain airbags to the test.

Glad to see you're okay. And, man, what a break on the damage. I know it will be a pain in the a**, but it could have been way worse.

Sorry to hear about the damage to your GX.

But....you chased him while hauling that box? Way to go with the catch!

Glad you're OK! Ugly damage. I guess that you'll have to go through your own insurance company, pay the deductible and have your agent go after the other party? At least the GX will look like new instead of waiting forever to collect from the perpetrator. Good Luck!

It turns out that the guy had insurance afterall so my deductable will be covered by his insurance. There was talk by the appraiser that they may total the truck because the frame has been damaged. I'll know more this afternoon

You must be one hell of a driver to catch him while you were hauling that uhaul. Good thing you ok and that he has insurance. Do you mean your truck might be totaled or his?

Glad to hear that you are ok. My two cents worth is that there is frame damage, I have a lot of experience on that. If they decide to fix your GX make sure you get a thrust angle printout. That is the measurement that shows how the four corners of the chasis are alingned. Pls anyone correct me if Im wrong. good luck.
