Just bought a 2007 GX470. My wife and I love the truck - and it is a truck although very luxurious one. We moved from an Volvo XC90 to the GX. We imported it to Canada, and I have a couple of questions for the forum:

1. I can not find an answer to convert the car to metric (km, L/100km, C). Has anybody cracked that nut or is this how Lexus / Toyota keep the markets separate and justify the 20K premium you pay for a Lexus in Canada?
2. Towing Hitch - I am researching the addition of a towing hitch - Lexus OEM hitch ($700) installed vs. aftermarket ($300) installed. Anyone gone through the process and weighed the pro / cons.
3. iPod integration - I am shocked that Lexus doesn't have an integration kit for an iPod (the AUX plug doesn't count). Anybody recommend a good aftermarket solution.

I just went thru that trade study. If your truck has the tow prep package like mine, you can purchase the hitch from Lexus for about $300.00 and install yourself. Lexus wants 3 hours of shop labor to install a hitch....I'm buying it and putting it on myself unless someone on here knows better...

It's pretty easy to install the hitch. I took me about 2 hrs and I tend to work slowly. No way it should take Lexus 3 hours to install it. More like 30 minutes!

Hey I read in the owners manual on how to switch to metric but I am at work and don't have it with me but I know there is a way. Might wanna check manual.

Welcome to CL and congrat on your GX. We are on our 2nd...I had an 03, now my wife has an 08.

Anyway, not much to offer you on the hitch or km conversion, but on the Ipod integrator kit there are a couple options that are widely discussed here at CL the VAIS and Coastal Tech solutions.
