Tint Removal
#4
Start by protecting the inside of your doors with plastic. Spray soapy water liberally all over the window and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then try using a razor blade to get an edge up so that you can start peeling the tint. It will come off in pieces but should not pose a lot of trouble. Spray the adhesive that is left on the glass with the same soapy water solution (2 parts soap, 1 part water) and use the razor blade to scrape off the adhesive. Dish detergent works good for this because of the high amonia content.

buy a steamer, like the ones they sell in target, just something that makes a lot of hot steam, takes like 10 minutes, and just hold it up to the tint and it comes off like goo, the other methods are long, dirty and time consuming

you may have to get razor blades depending on how old your tint is. from personal experience i have found that if you steam the whole window for a good 5 minutes and you constantly steam and pull at the same time you have less glue that stays behind.

Thamks guys for the advice. I found someone that will put me through inspection while keeping the tint. Its not worth the hassle of taking the tint off myself, going back to inspection and then tinting all over again.
