Okay guys, brought it home last night and my wife loved it!
Now question is clunking issue... is it like jerking as well? when i am slowing down but not at complete stop, when i apply brake and slowly slowing down it jerks a little.
and my low pressure warning light wouldn't go off, any idea?

thanks

No, thats not the clunk, thats the transmission downshifting. Your transmsssion must down shift rougher than normal, that would be my guess. It may be time to change the tarnsmission fluid.
As far as the low pressure warning light, pump all tires up to 32 PSI and the spare up to 35 PSI and you should fine.

even the spare tire needs to be checked and filled in?
I have 02 ES300, and i've done tranny drain and refill on it
is it harder to do? or same way? I noticed it takes Toyota ATF WS(???) where as my ES300 took Toyota VI-T(???) Fluid.

thanks

yes the spare tire have a sensor on it too. The Toyota ATF WS fluid is suppose to last 100K miles under normal condition, but if you tow or drive under servere condition, you ahould change it sooner. I ahve never done a tranny fluid change on my GX, I sold it b 4 I needed it.

That's a clean looking GX....this is a first one I've seen without 3rd row seating but the 2 notches on each side looks like something for a cover. It looks somewhat similar to the cover I had for my 4 Runner.

Your GX without the 3rd row seat came with a tonneau cover for the cargo area. Those 2 mounts toward the front of the cargo area is where the tonneau cover would sit.
But since either the previous owner or the used car dealer lost or ruined the tonneau cover, you would have to purchase one from Lexus. But I'm sure that would cost a king's ransom.

Yours should have come with the cover. You can see the mounts on either side, where the cover would sit. As far as I'm concerned the seats are useless, but did your car come without a third row seat and still include the navi? Just curious...

Congratulations on your purchase! I've been enjoying my `04 GX470 since I drove it off the dealer's lot new. 4 years and 34K miles later no problems, squeaks, clunks, nor rattles. The `04 has been a great value and a very reliable vehicle, you'll enjoy owning it!
