We just traded our 04 Nissan Murano AWD for 04 Lexus GX470 Blk/Tan with 58k miles on them. We will be picking it up on Thursday because they need to detail it and repair front windshield(small rock-chip). Other than that it looks and drives good. Couple of questions though...
1. Mine doesn't come with 3rd row seat, is it something that i can add on if i wanted to?
2. where can i find the rear cargo roller?
3. I hear lot of CL members with clunking noise issue with driveshaft(?? im not too good with mechanically) what are the exact symtoms? and how do i know if mine was repaired or needs to be repaired?

The 3rd row seat cannot be added without major modification.

What is a rear cargo roller? Do you mean the cover?

There is a sticky on the top of this forum on the clunk, all the description you need will be in there. Basically its like getting tap from behind after you stop.

Did your GX never have a 3rd row, or are you just missing the seats? Reason I ask is most GX's came with the 3rd row - very few came without it. You can verify by looking for the seat mounts under the carpet in the cargo area and there are also removable plastic pieces by the 3rd row cupholders that cover the hinge for folding the seats up to the side (although I'm guessing there are no 3rd row cupholders if yours was never equipped with the 3rd row seats ). If you're just missing the seats but have the mounting brackets then you should be able to find some seats on ebay or post a thread on here. If you're missing the mounting brackets cuz your GX never had the 3rd row to begin with, you're screwed.

First off i would like to congratulate you on your new purchase. It is an awesome vehicle.

If you look at the back of your gx and see cup holders back there then chances are you can add the seats w/o any problem. If you don't see any cup holder back there then no you can't.

To be honest with you, i haven't seen any gx w/o the 3rd row seat option with the 04'.

If you're buying the gx from a lexus dealer than ask them to take a look at the clunk issue. They will know what you're talking about since its a well known issue.

No it wasn't certified, but it runs like a champ. I just couldn't resist the deal!!
I will take some pics tomorrow after picking it up from a dealer, my wife still doesn't know i got her GX, it's gonna be a surprise... does anyone know where i can buy one of those HUGE RIBBON? i am gonna put one of those on the hood and hide it in our garage

geez, this is kinda depressing that mine do not come with 3rd row, and can't even add it if i wanted to... well does anyone know if LEXUS ever made cargo cover/slider?
