So I've been emailing back and forth with the guy at Beatsonic. I'm convinced that this kit will fit and match our non-nav 470's.

He says the audio harness they sell is required if you want to use the OEM amp. Can't we just use a wiring diagram of the amp and match up the R+-/L+-, pwr, etc with the wiring harness of an aftermarket head unit?

Also, he says you can return the product for a full refund for any reason as long as the kit isnt all scratched up and whatnot. Sounds pretty good. I might give them a try.

I have a tan interior, but after comparing the plastic around the radio of my friends oem gray interior, the colors are identical.

I think I'm going to try to hook the OEM amp directly to Kenwood Nav unit. I should be able to get it to work without the beatsonic harness but if I can't, I'll order the harness later.

i got mine last month. it's for a toyota prado with a prado factory navi. you need the trim/bezel cause the screen of the standard double din navi is about 1/2 inch short on both sides. no biggie.. you can buy that trim.

i didn't order the extra plug cause no one knows if it works. i got a different plug from the internet. have to find the link.. lol. i haven't installed it cause been busy. but yeah, they're good and they ship it directly from japan. i got mine in 3-4 days.

ok guys.. good news it works! ****in hook up 3 wires done done and done! factory amp works, bezel trim just like stock! i'll get all the part numbers by tomorrow. it's awesome.

now all i need is to find the vss wire (vehicle speed sensor) someone please dig this up and i'll complete the write up.

i have a double din eclipse navi/dvd/mp3 avn5500 with backup camera. it's awesome!
basically the bezel came from toyota prado. either australia, manila or japan. it fits like it belongs there. it even comes with an extra trim. reuse all existing brackets! fits like a glove.

Can't you just ground the VSS wire coming from the head unit? I think this will prevent having to have the car in park to watch movies.

i have the ground for the dvd taken care of. but the VSS makes the GPS accurate since it gets a pulse from the vehicle speed sensor. GPS renders a lot smoother with the VSS wire hooked up to the ecu's vss signal. anyone has a fsm? that's the last wire i need.

VSS has 2 wires, SP- is green, SP+ is red. I think you need the red one. PM me and I'll send you the fsm so you can have a look for yourself.

BTW, this is for a 2005, I don't know if it varies between years.
