That's the front tow hook...it's supposed to be horizontal, looks like it got ripped downwards

The frame is in a square shape, and runs down the entire length of the vehicle on both sides

thanks guys, now can those parts be rustproof treated and undercoated? or just the body itself? should i get it done anyway? are your GXs look like this too underneath?
I called up Ziebart and they do undercoat for $250 but not sure if they can do it on these rusted parts...kinda made me feel better when you said it was a normal surface rust, but i still wanna do something about this though

thanks,
Tae

and I will take some pictures of the frame tomorrow and post it up

Wow, that looks nasty. I just sold an 11 year old infiniti and it looks brand new compared to that rusted undercarriage. I guess that's one of the advantages of living in CA, we have rust-free cars to take on the freeway traveling at 5 m/hr during rush hour.

I would imagine there is something they can put on to stop the rust from spreading further, like a rust prohibitor or penetrant. After that, seal it with a coat of that rubberize under coating. A professional should be able to give you more options.

The rusted and bent front tow hook looks like the truck have been off road a lot or towing a boat or something.
