Transfer of phone contacts--Iphone
Anyone that has an Iphone--can it transfer the phone contacts into the 470 contact list? Ive clicked on the transfer and says waiting for transfer--but I cannot get the phone to send them.

That sucks--The wifes BMW will suck the contacts right out of the I-phone and load them all in seconds into the phonebook, has to be the function setup of the Lexus interface

I really appreciate that Lexus wants everything to be perfectly reliable as far as the electronics go, but this is almost 2009, the technology is there. BMW and Audi are light years ahead of Lexus on the technology side.
We had 2 GX's and I would have replaced them with 2 GX's if that stuff was there. Since my wife doesn't care about the technology, she wanted another GX. But I had to go with something that had my gadgets.
I love being able to use all of my iPhone's capabilities, the satellite radio interface, the iPod usability, and being able to enter addresses on the nav while driving (by the passenger, safely of course).

It is an iPhone issue, not Lexus. I gave up my Blackberry for iPhone. I can live with it. Iphone's are so much more fun. Do you real need 1000 contacts in your car. Just voice dial on the phone itself. Easy! Also, I'd much rather have a Lexus than a BMW or Audi!!!

The iPhone is not crap, it is still the best all around phone that started the mainstream touchscreen cell phone revolution. But enough on that. Shame on Lexus for not automatically detecting the contacts like BMW does. Even if the iPhone could transfer contacts manually, shame on Lexus for making have to be one at a time. However, an upcoming release of iBluetooth for a jailbroken iPhone should add this functionality. It already added A2DP music streaming and file transfer.
