I have a 2005 GX470 and whenever I have one window down only, the sunroof vibrates and it sounds like a helicopter is landing on top of my car. Is this simply because the car is so airtight? When I roll down additional windows, it helps. Is this normal? THX

The Helicopter noise is cause by the Bernoulli principle. It is pretty common in newer, more areodynamic cars.
A car at speed will cause an air stream, more so at the side rear window. That air stream creates a low pressure zone where it will draw the air from inside the car to the outside air stream. As more and more air is being drawn out, at some point the air pressure inside the car actually becomes lower than the outside air pressure and a rush of air enters the car. This cycle repeats itself and the air moving in and out of the car is what cause the helicopter noise that you hear.

i was surprised the first time it happened to me too....but it only happens to me when I have the back windows open only.....if it starts happening...crack your front windows a bit and it should dramatically reduce the effect....

+1 Just crack another window and it will go away.

They definitely help, but I'm so used to cracking a 2nd window that I've never tried just one window down since getting the visors, lol.
