Well guys and gals I am trading in my 2006 GX470 today for a 2006 LX470 since my family has grown a bit needed a little more space so I opted for the 2006 LX really wanted the new one but it was a little to much for me I will truly miss this forum!!!!!!!!! will be on the LX forum now I hope it's as good as this one!

I see how it is, to good for the GX now... Farewell and good luck with the LX, but I must warn you they are a bunch of stuffed shirts on that LX forum!
Out of curiousity, why the switch? I hear you when you say you need more space for your growing family, but what are you really gaining with the LX over the GX? Yes, I know it's a little wider and a little longer, but it does not seem that material to me to justify unless it simply boils down to you cannot fit 3 baby/car seats across the second row in the GX.

Four kides and the wifey! and it is little bit more space! I will miss my GX470 it's been really good to us! to be honest I test drove the LX470 and the ride was little on the rough side I mention it to the sales guy and he said it's a different rides i dont know how true that is but i will find out I hope that the guys on the LX forum are half as knowledgeable as you guys.

I second that request, nothing beats a comparison based on hands on experience. I looked at the LX as well but could not justify the $15k difference between the two for only a couple of extra inches. Two kids, two dogs and one wife.

I thought the LX ride was much smoother and much less lean into the corners. For me, I was considering a new 07 GX vs a 12K mile demo 06 LX. GX was $49K (with all options except KDSS) while the LX was $53K (no RSES or night vision). Ended up with the GX because the wife wanted a "new" car. But I still regret not getting the LX because of the extra space (kids in the 2nd row) and 3rd row leg room. But I'm happy not to have to pay so much for the LX maintaince (adjustable height suspension, front brake job pretty complex, exhuast manifold issues) because I plan to keep it for the GX for a long time.

We had an 02 LX470 before our current GX. I loved the LX but the wife thought it felt "like driving a school bus" so you know who won that argument. I prefer the tailgate of the LX and it had much more useable storage bins in the cabin than the GX. The rides are similar in both (comfy). The 4WD controls on my GX are the same ones from the LX although I don't remember anything about KDSS in the LX and the LX had full suspension instead of just the rear. The third row in the LX has about the same legroom as the GX imo, only difference is you still get some adequate trunk room behind the third row.
