Anybody else have any frustration when they are backing out of a parking spot and put the GX in reverse and there is a delay before the camera comes on?

Sometimes I am half way out of the spot before the camera comes on.....basically rendering the camera useless.

I guess I am a Type A personality and should not be in such a hurry, but what I have done to solve this is.....I first place the GX in reverse, then keep the brake on and put my seat-belt on.....by the time my seat belt is on the camera is working.

Mine comes on almost immediately.

In fact I have to be quick to hit the "I agree" or I'll miss it.

DrVolkl whats that mean?....I never have to hit "agree".

Btw....the delay I am speaking about is like 3-4 seconds
after putting in reverse.

Mine has the slight delay too and I have the same Type A, maybe AA Im in super hurry all the time..lol. I just make myself chill a little when I hit reverse---well certain times when I really need the camera--other times its reverse and punch it

Hey I am telling you the "put it in reverse, then put you seat belt on".....works perfect! Camera is on by the time you seat belt is buckled!

On the Nav... so I start the car, the Nav pops up and if I slap it in reverse I usually don't have time to hit the "I agree" button before the camera comes on. It's pretty quick.

It's definitely not seconds slow....at lease I don't think it is. I'll double check today.

Ok....I am not following you....I don't know about any "I Agree" function,
but I understand about your camera must be coming on pretty quick...mine seems
to be about 3 full seconds of waiting.

He must have a NAV disk that's prior to v7.1... You had to press an "I Agree" to a disclaimer on the touch screen prior to v7.1.

I have an 08 GX and I don't have any camera delay when putting the vehicle in reverse.

Yeah, I have not updated the Nav disc yet...but the camera comes on pretty darn quick on my truck.

2006 GX with Gen 4 Nav, 5.1 Nav Disk (yes you have to hit 'I agree'). Camera comes on in less than a second. When you put it in reverse, and you feel the gear engage, the camera is on.
