I wanted to post and say thank you to those kind enough to guide be here.
Yesterday morning the dealership was willing to come down another $300 and throw in a free detail worth $300. I was really feeling that they thought I wasa a total fool. This dealership also includes " complementary" oil changes,6, and one tire rotation which they are saying is worth $900. To me, this is worth $350 at the Goodyear down the road! 9 per the new car manager) At this point I am pretty peeved at the whole process so I called Highland Park in Chicago and over the phone they say they can sell me the car with a $500 higher MSRP for $2000 less than Columbus will. SO $2500 difference. So they email me the offer, I send it along to Col and my dealer calls and comes down another $2000 which I take. They are saying only ONCE during all of 2009 did they sell this car for less than $50000. SO I ended up with third row, nav and spoiler and a few misc accessories for $49.8 ish. I got what I wanted, or close, but this dealer made me feel they were doing me a huge favor at every turn and that really took a lot of fun out of buying a new car. So if anyone here is dealing with Germain Lexus
be sure to call Highland Park first, they seem nice, responsive and forthcoming! Thanks all!!!!

Congrats Susan, no one ever said buying a car was fun
Sounds like you paid about $2000 over invoice. Not too bad for going to only 2 dealers. When I bought my GX years ago, I must have went to 5 or 6 different Lexus dealer and talk to maybe 6 or 7 internet managers. I got invoice price but it was a lot of work. If you dont have the time to spend on car shopping or simply hate doing it, sometimes it easier just to pay a couple more thousand than to go thru the process.

Welcome to the Club Susan! Glad to hear you stuck by your guns, came back with some ammo and pushed your dealer a little harder in order to get the price closer to your target.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
