The KDSS suspension system is very an attractive option to me. Is this system trouble low maintenance? I am looking at a newer Lexus with the system and would love to have it but don’t want to get into something that is very expensive to maintain. Especially when it would seem that any work that needs to be done would have to go to the dealer. Have you had any repairs and what were the costs? Thanks for the views. Al

There is zero extra maintenance connected w/ the KDSS. I've got an 06 w/ the sport package (which includes KDSS) and I've never had a problem of any type. At 42,000 miles I don't have a single rattle, squeak, or anything that doesn't work the way it's supposed to. Good Luck.

i have 80k+ on mine, works perfectly.I wouldn't worry too much, it's all hydraulic.

I also have around 80K miles on my '04 and have had no problems with the KDSS. I would like the truck as much if it not. I really hate all the rolling/leaning that SUV's do when cornering.

KDSS is just perfect, nearing 85k mark and absolutely wonderful, at high speeds it has good amount of advantage during the side rolls & you can differenciate the amount of stability it hold at curves compared to the normal ones, Absolutely trouble free so far. One advise to you ensure you do your preventive maintenance and also the regular maintenance, that way these last long.

Is there a way to determine if the used GX I am looking at has KDSS? I would like to know if it is something easy to see, is there a switch on the dash, etc?

I really want KDSS but dont want to ask for it as the dealer/owner then they realize it is there and, well, who knows where the negotiating would go

On the roll bars you will find a single mount hydraulic System For the Front if you look from the nose of the vehicle they are situated on the driver side wheel and the rear the Rear RH roll bar. have a look at the snap

mann77, thanks for the pic......I will be dropping my head under the drivers side front wheel to see if there is a KDSS. Sounds like from reading here that there are not many with this options.

How do you like it, reading here everyone is a big fan. Wonder if I will be kicking myself down the road if I dont wait for one......
