Default Electrical issues...

So this week my GPS stopped working--it gets no satellite signal anymore no matter what. Otherwise the display works and the inertial navigation still tries even though it is off by 50 miles. Anyway, today I thought I would pull the negative lead off the battery to reset everything before calling the dealership. That didn't do anything productive, though now I seem to have a further issue. I no longer can control my windows from the driver's-side window switches. Even more odd, all of the other window buttons blink on-off-on-off-off-on-off ... and they only work sporadically from the other seating positions.

What's going on?

Try cycling the windows - rolling it up and down - several times. Other members mentioned that cycling the windows (and the sunroof if necessary) solves that problem.

Yeah, I took it to the dealership and they taught me the trick. Had to go to each window switch (on each door) and roll the windows up and down twice. Strange..

Still in the shop for the GPS problem.

It says right in the owners manual that anytime the battery is disconnected from the vehicle, the windows and sunroof need to be reset for them to work properly. I guess hardly anybody reads the owners manual.

You know, I actually did a while back, since this car had so many buttons I was puzzled at the use for. With that said, I didn't recall this.
