I am going to see a car today at a near dealership, and was wondering if they were asking a fair price for the car or not. It seems to be a special edition with silver interior trim instead of wood.
Specs:
2005 GX470, 1-owner vehicle, 54k miles, Meridian Blue Pearl/Gray with the special silver trim instead of wood, third row, NAV/ rear DVD flip down, KBB ranges from $25.5k-$28.7k
Asking price: $28,488.
How much should I be able to negotiate down?
THanks in advance!

The asking price would not be unreasonable for a real clean Lexus Certified GX. Depending on how long it's been on the lot and how many they have you should be able to widdle that price down.

I think it depends if it is a Lexus Certified vehicle. I just paid $24k for a 2004 Certified GX with 49K, tow package, Nav and Levinson stereo. It had been on the lot for 2 months. My thought is that it sat because many buyers don't want a vehicle with a tow package, but I needed it.

The silver trim instead of the wood trim just means the vehicle has the sport package or the KDSS option. It's no special edition. I don't believe any years of the GX had a special edition.

thanks for the input fellas,
picked up a silver/dark gray 06' gx470 with 50k mi for $30k certified with every single option including rear DVD player and tow hitch in absolute mint condition with one previous owner. of course it could have been a bit lower in price, but they wouldn't budge any more and I think it was worth it

I just bought an '05 with 53k, couldn't be anymore loaded (nav, dvd in headrest, ml stereo, chrome wheels, etc), for 28k. I bought it from my neighbors and couldn't believe the condition it was in. This literally was showroom floor shape. Bought it yesterday to replace my Jeep SRT8.

I'm buying a 2005 LX 470 for increased 3rd row seating.
I am selling my 2004 GX I posted the ad on Portland Craigslist:
I just hope I priced it accordingly:
