Does anyone know how to override the Nav system on the GX470? I want to be able to take advantage of the full features while driving. i have seen various posts but most for older models of the nav, where you can load on software from a company called: http://www.coastaletech.com/LOCKPICK_MAIN.htm

but it does not have software for the 2009 model years that i could find.

is there a better way to do this or wait until they release updated software?

I am not looking at my screen right now, but if you follow these instructions while the car is not moving, you can go into override and use type on the screen when you are underway...

1. go to the screen with "DVD" in the top right corner
2. Touch "DVD"
3. Once in this menu touch the "top left, bottom left. top left, bottom left, bottom right."
4. You should now be in a menu with maint. functions. One of the buttons is override. Push and hold this button until it changes colors.
5. now you are in the override status and you can change things while driving.

This has to be done everytime you restart the engine, it is not a permanent fix. I think the only permanent fix is the Lockpick 3 device. The Vaistech device will press the "I agree" function for you automatically in the older model year vehicles, but I don't believe it overrides the lock out feature.
