Rubber Floor Mats - Dealership wouldn't sell them to me...
Haven't been on the forum in a long time so hope everyone is doing well.
I was in the dealership the other week and tried to buy some rubber floor mats for the GX (wore a hole in the drivers side rubber mat). They would not sell them to me because of the whole issue from the accident in California.
Anyone else tried to buy rubber mats and been denied?
Thanks,
Bob

There is not an issue with the GX. It's a "cover your ***" position that Lexus, or at least my dealer, is taking as a result of the recall issue with the ones from the ES.

I bought all weather floormats from sewell parts online. For the front and back seats it was like $90. Never heard of any problems. In my opinion they give the GX's interior a more manly truck-like feel. I got my mats in brown to match the tan & brown interrior.

Toyota/Lexus are not selling the all-weather mats do to a lawsuit issue.
One driver got a floor mat stuck in the accelerator and got in an accident.
So they are on hold until this is resolved. You can still buy the rear cargo all weather mat.
Some times you will see them on eBay.

I couldn't find any dealers that still had any in stock for my '09 so I went with the WeatherTech custom-fit and they fit/look as good as my OEM rubber Toyota mats did in my old avalon limited.

But I do have the Husky fitted trunk liner and its a very flimsy and cheap material. Don't know if I would trust their floor mats.
