Don't know if this is helpful or not but the 2010 mirrors fold in automatically - have to flip the switch though. Is this what you're talking about?

 

Nopes the one I saw was definetely the activation is from the Ignition key start mode, the mirrors unfold, and vice versa when they are off and key removed. When I checked the Prado models on my business visit to Singapore, at the showroom this was confirmed the one was a VX model( seems to be the Top end model with Navigation. I plan to pick up one of these with the harness and the relays to upgrade. It is definetely an advantage for parking into your own garage when you have more than car and you wanna squeeze thru that gap perfectly without the annoyance to these mirrors protusion.
