Naked GX, not for the faint of heart!
Got my GX 6 weeks ago and have been busy removing and adding things.
So far.
Chrome wheels gone, replaced with FJ wheels with a 10mm wider offset.
Larger Revo2 tires, 265/70/16.
Pin strip compounded off.
Spoiler off, welded and painted holes added a 3rd brake light.
Running boards off, added generic rubber front mud flaps.
Roof rack off and replaced with RX brackets and nuts.
Most of you won't like this look but I do
Before
After
New and old spare wheel and tire.

I like it. It does look a little like a Montero Sport now, which is another truck I've always liked.
I've always hated the look of running boards, but since our GX is the wife's daily driver & kid hauler, they serve their purpose. (On my Jeep TJ, the running boards are on their way to the garbage, to be replaced by rocker guards.)

The roof rack can go back on in 30 minutes.
I am not turning this into a complete off road rig.
I have a fully modified Landcruiser for that

Makes sense. How do you like RX 400H. I had RX 400h as a loaner for 3 days. I loved that car. Little bit slow at take off but very smooth and quiet. Much more space then my FX35/45.

i like it OP, looks good....most the changes are subtle and most people would notice....honestly only one i majorly, immediately notice and don't like is the oem running boards gone....they seemed to fit will and look funny without plus your new ones seem to be a different shade. all in all it looks good, the rims def worked for it. gotta love the massive toyota parts bins the engineers use

It's my wifes and she loves it. Make her feel green. Nice rig. If you really step on it and you have an AWD version you have immidiate 4 electric motors on for instant torque plus the gas engine. It's over 400lbs of torque. It could catch and pass my V8 BMW X5 before I sold it. That was on a straight line, cruves would be a different story

Looks meaner and tougher with those wheels on. I like the way it looks without the roof rack too. Thanks for the ideas! I'll post some before and after of mine as well as soon as I get it fixed up

The Revo's are a tiny bit louder. Hardly noticeable. I had them on my landcruiser before switching to a mud tire. I would not go with a mud tire since they are really loud and suck gas big time. Muds do look nice. But for most on and offroad applications AT are a better choice.
I highly recommend REVO's. Great all around AT tire. This is my 3 set.
FJ wheels are a more stout wheel and I feel better taken these off-road. You can get them cheap on the FJ forum. There are a lot of FJ owners that change them out and sell them cheap.
