There are some great tires by different brands,
so obviously there is no "one tire fits all owners".

I can say I am happy with my Yokohama PARADA Spec-X tires.

And on TireRack they were rated #1 in category by users.

Stick with the cross terrains, or the newer replacements, the latitude tour. They are the best tire for the gx hands down. Replaced the original cross terrains with another set at about 55k. There was still a bit of tread remaining, just were weather cracked, being a desert southwest car.

Cross Terrains. Very quiet, great in the wet and snow, and still have plenty of tread left with 49k on them.

Cross Terrains are well-documented to be outstanding tires, particularly for the GX. The new Latitude Tour has superceeded the Cross Terrains IN SOME SIZES BUT NOT THE GX SIZE -- CTs are still in production in some sizes (OEM sizes for a number of vehicles including the GX) and will continue to be in production for some time to come -- so you can pick either model for your GX. Michelin claims that the LT has some advantages over the CT in most areas of the tire performance spider chart, but personally I'd have a hard time taking a chance on them because the CTs just don't have a fault that I can detect in my use.

A friend of mine replace his cross tarrain with the Latitude touring a year ago, His opinion was that it rides a bit smoother and quieter but doesnt perform as well in the snow.

I have 80K miles on my CT's (rotated religiously) and now need new ones. Guess which tires I'll buy!?

I also recommend the Michelin Cross Terrains. I've never been happier with a set of tires.

I replaced my CT's with new CT's last summer. I only had 40,000 miles on them. They were wearing on the inside of all 4 tires. I have KDSS and was wondering if that is why I didn't get the great mileage on them as others have.

Did you have the truck checked out for alignment (particular the tow-in)? I assume you were rotating them and they were getting worn unevenly while on the fronts - highly unlikely that they would be wearing unevenly on the rear.

I'll have them check the alignment the next time I bring it in for service. I would like to get more mileage out of these new ones since they are quite expensive.
