2003 Lexus GX470 dies at idle
I wrote yesterday about the fact that our 2003 GX470 was blowing fuses. #27 on the block under the hood. Now, the problems seem to be cascading to other areas. Yesterday, the vehicle began to die when coming to a full stop. Also, when the key is turned on and the motor started, the gauges (tach, fuel) don't come right up. There is a delay. Any help would be appreciated.

I hate electrical gremlins! It sounds to me like there is an excessive load being placed on that circuit causing that fuse to blow and the same gremlin is more than likely the cause of the other symptoms you describe (tach, dome light, possibly stalling). Electrical issues are tough to diagnose over the computer and I would recommend taking it in to Lexus and let them hook up your truck to the computer to see if any fault codes come up - I would do this ASAP to limit/prevent possible further damage. It's not going to get any cheaper by delaying taking it in.
Please come back and let us know what you find, it may help someone else! Good luck.
